It takes so little to change the life of an animal...
At Twisted Tails, all animals are welcome. Some stay for a while and some live out their lives. Contributions, big and small, keep our animals well-cared for and healthy. We know a girl named Bailey who saw the pandas at the National Zoo. She worried that they didn't get enough to eat. She saved all the change she could find and put it in a shoebox. After two months, she had her mom tally the total and send it to the zoo. A few weeks later Bailey got a letter from the National Zoo thanking her and letting her know her donation provided food for one of her beloved bears. Bailey sent the zoo just under twenty dollars. Bailey's grown now, but still talks about how happy it made her to feed the pandas. It takes so little to make a difference. The need is so great. To feed a senior, damaged horse costs between $200-$300 per month. To feed a dog costs, average, about $100 per month. And to feed a cat costs about $75 per month. That's one animal; and that's only food. There's also vet care, facility repairs and upkeep, water, tack, hoof and teeth care and the list goes on. Joining together, even giving small, we can create something big. We can make a difference in the lives of animals. All proceeds from the nutritious products and healing services are donated. |
